Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Steve Yates brings decades of entrepreneurial leadership experience in the construction industry, with specific emphasis on creating efficient global supply chains. Steve served as Buildxact’s Executive Vice President of Enterprise Sales from January 2020 until his appointment to CEO in May 2024, driving North American market priorities and global industry partnerships. Prior to joining Buildxact, Steve served as President and CEO of Cliftonvale, Inc. for 18 years, where he remains Chairman of the Board.
Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary
Fionn as Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary leads the finance team and manages the group company secretarial and legal affairs. An experienced finance executive with a background in technology and service businesses with operations in Australia and overseas. Fionn has been CFO in companies operating in the private and public (i.e. ASX listed co) domains in organisations such as Whispir, Ascender, Optima Technologies Limited and Kepler Analytics.
Executive Vice President, Customer Experience and Product
Chris Rennie, Executive Vice President, Customer Experience, leads efforts to continually improve our products and services to support the needs of our customers. Chris works with our product team to identify new ways to serve the builders, manufacturers, suppliers and homeowners who make up our customer base. A disciplined and flexible leader, Chris has worked with a diverse set of companies, including Niche Media, CPA Australia and Murdoch Books.

John Allison, Chairman, is a co-founder of Buildxact and of LogicalTech, and has a long and successful history of building technology companies spanning over 30 years. His broad experience includes guiding the boards of numerous local and global technology start-ups. His passion for innovation and cloud technology has guided the growth of Buildxact from the start.

George Savvides AM, board member, has more than 25 years experience as CEO of Australian and New Zealand health care companies. George currently serves as Chairman of SBS Australia and of iMed Radiology Network. He continues as a nonexecutive director of IAG. George retired from Medibank Private in 2016. During his 14 years of CEO leadership, Medibank Private completed a successful IPO and grew its market capitalization from $1 billion to $6 billion. He was previously Chair of Next Science, Kings Transport, Macquarie University Hospital and World Vision Australia.

David Murray, Director, has more than 30 years’ experience in growth strategies, high performing teams and enabling technologies to deliver value to customers. David was Buildxact CEO from 2017-2024 having led the company’s growth from very small stage to a global player, established the team in Australia and North America, and led several successful fund raises. David now serves as CEO of RMS Cloud and director of Pavilion Drinks.

Melanie Kalemba has over 25 years of experience in management, sales, and finance, spanning both public and private companies across SaaS and B2B software. She currently serves as an independent board member for Thinkific (THNC.TO), Deck Internet Solutions, and Stord.
Melanie was General Manager, Americas for Amazon Pay. Before Amazon, she was SVP of Global Sales and Partnerships at BigCommerce, a leading ecommerce SaaS company and CEO of Movero Technology, Inc. (acquired by Calero Software).

Rob Goudswaard currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Revolut Payments Australia Pty Ltd advisory board and Chairman of Cornerstone Healthcare Funds Management Pty Ltd. He is a Non-Executive Director of Centelon Pte Ltd and ANZ Lenders Mortgage Insurance Pty Ltd.
Prior to his Board directorships he was CEO of Credit Union Australia (now Great Southern Bank) and Rural Finance and 30 years with ANZ Banking Group.

Dene Rogers, board member since 2015, has been CEO of several major public corporations including Kmart USA, RadioShack, and Target Australia. Most recently he has focused on entrepreneurial pursuits including being CEO of Buildxact in 2014 and as CEO of Biosenta Inc in 2015, a nano-tech company based in Canada.
