AUSTIN, TEXAS—February 27, 2026— Buildxact, a global software as a service company that provides a simple solution for dealers, residential builders and remodelers to better manage and grow their business, has added key leadership positions to support growth that continues to lead with customer focus and adopt new technologies.

Sarah Abernethy, chief operations and automation officer

A Buildxact veteran of six years, Sarah Abernethy, has been named into the new role of chief growth operations & automations officer. In this role, she is responsible for building the systems, insights, and operating rhythms that enable the company to grow in a focused, customer-led, and scalable way. She leads growth operations across product s, customer experience, data insights, sales and marketing, as well as AI and automation, bringing these functions together into a cohesive engine that supports sustainable growth.

“I am focused on the challenge of any organization of driving clarity over complexity,” Abernethy said. “Buildxact’s customer base is unique in that they are risk averse and sometimes there is a lot of change management moving into technology first solutions. I am helping tease out the customer value through data insights, then helping our teams understand the customer value to make the customer perspective explicit in our decision-making.”

In her time at Buildxact, Abernethy has had a strong leadership role in growing the company eight fold with her ability to calmly steer complex problems toward clear, customer-focused solutions.

Nicole Tanzillo, Buildxact chief growth officer

Nicole Tanzillo joins as the new chief experience officer. In this position, she will lead the company’s end-to-end customer experience strategy while ensuring every customer feels genuinely supported at each stage of the journey.

Tanzillo has extensive experience guiding organizations through critical growth and transformation opportunities, such as in previous executive leadership roles at VelocityEngine, Ceresa, and Spiceworks.

With more than 20 years of experience as a strategic operator across product, operations, and revenue functions in SaaS and technology organizations, she has a passion for thoughtfully applied technology that canport a company to reach and serve more people, more consistently, without losing the personal touch that small business owners value and deserve.

James Greene, Buildxact board member

Finally, James Greene is being welcomed as a new director on the Buildxact board. With a strong history in the global financial services industry, Greene spent 21 years at Accenture, has served as CEO of a technology start-up, global head of financial services at Capgemini, global head of financial services consulting at Cisco, and managing partner of a private equity fund focused on incubating enterprise-class analytics software companies.

Greene is the founder and managing director of Sky D Ventures, a venture fund and advisory firm investing primarily in seed-stage fintech and emerging technology companies that also advises incumbents, disruptors, private equity, and venture capital firms.

“These new leadership positions will support a stronger than ever internal focus on the customer and an external focus on growing community,” said Stephen Yates, CEO at Buildxact. “We added this leadership because we understand that we’re in a new era and that we provide something unique that no other technology provider is giving the pro—a holistic program that is theirs to own. We want to hear from customers, respond to them, and work with them to create the best product for their business and to support what is needed in housing today.”
